About Wild Style Talk to us

Privacy and you

What this page covers

Wild Style Magazine runs this website and decides what becomes of the handful of details you send in. This page lays out what those details are, why they are kept and how long they stay. Anything unclear? Email hello@wildstylemagazine.com.

The contact form

Our contact form lives on the Talk to us page. It has three fields. You pick a subject from a short list, type your message and add an email address for the reply. There is no box for a name, and the form works fine without one.

The address lets us answer you. The message tells us about the project, be it a cracked patio or a fence line that leans. The subject helps us route it to the writer who covers that kind of job. Messages are kept for 12 months and then deleted.

What the server writes down

Each visit leaves a trace in the hosting server's logs, as it does on nearly any site. A line can record your IP address, browser type, the page you loaded and when. We need that to keep the site up and to catch anyone poking at it. The logs are not used to learn about any one visitor.

Cookies

No tracking cookies and no ad cookies come from this site. That is why no cookie question greeted you when you arrived.

No selling, no ad sharing

Wild Style Magazine does not sell personal information. Reader details are not handed to advertisers for ad targeting either. A message about your deck stays a message about your deck.

State privacy rights

Privacy laws in California and a growing list of other states give residents rights over their personal information. Your state may or may not be on that list yet. We take the same four requests from every reader, wherever the yard happens to be.

The first is access, meaning you can ask which details we hold and get a copy. The second is correction, for an email address or detail that has changed. The third is deletion, so a message can go before its 12 months are up. The fourth is the right to opt out of any sale or sharing, which we will log even though neither happens here.

Send any of these to hello@wildstylemagazine.com, or use the contact form and choose "Something else" as the subject. Tell us which right you are using. We might ask a quick question to confirm the request is yours. Using a right never changes how we treat you.

Children under 13

Yard projects, power tools and permits are adult territory. This site is written for grown homeowners and is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly take in information from kids, which is the line COPPA, the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, draws.

Parents who believe their child sent us a message can email us. We will delete it.

Changes

If the way we handle information changes, this notice gets updated and the new text is posted on this same page. The date below tells you when it last moved. Last changed November 5, 2026.
